We do not promote
pre-packaged meals or calorie counting. Instead, we help
individual’s identify and eliminate barriers that keep
people from living a healthy lifestyle, in the context
of a supportive network that encourages continual
success. Thus, BodyWise provides long-term, ongoing support so participants realize their potential…and maintain that potential.
At BodyWise, we believe that when fitness becomes part of one’s lifestyle, it is no longer a dreaded activity. Therefore, we work with members to develop a different view of fitness. Members are assisted in developing a consistent exercise routine that includes both cardiovascular training and strength training to enhance fitness, in a way that becomes central to daily living. Although members in the BodyWise program may focus on weight loss as their primary goal, BodyWise is not just about weight loss. We understand most people would like to lose a few pounds, however BodyWise does not view weight loss as the primary goal. Instead, the goal is to develop a sense of overall health that can be incorporated into all areas of members’ lives. This is done through increased activity levels, improved nutrition, and social/recreational interactions, to name a few.
